Terms and Conditions

Please read these terms before requesting a quote or a booking.

 

Selah Vie reserves the right to change any term or price without prior notice.

Booking Terms

  • all bookings are subject to your acceptance of a quote, including the total cost payable

  • total cost includes all services requested, either as selected from this website or as separately agreed between us in writing, including agreed travel expenses

  • acceptance of a quote signifies acceptance of these Terms & Conditions in their entirety

  • a booking date is not confirmed until your deposit is received in cleared funds

  • any change to an agreed quote must be notified in writing immediately. A revised quote including a revised total cost payable will be issued which must be separately confirmed by you before the booking date

During Prime Wedding Season - April - October, a minimum amount of 4 services or clients are usually required.  Smaller bookings may be accepted if scheduling permits. Other times of year some flexibility in minimum services may be allowed but are also subject to approval.

 

Payment Terms

  • all payments are required in Canadian dollars

  •  services provided in Canada : HST will be added to your final bill at the prevailing rate 

  • services provided outside Canada : HST does not apply

  • We accept cash, Interac e-Transfer (Interac email money transfer), Visa and Mastercard.

  • personal and business cheques are not accepted           

  • any adjustment to the final cost resulting from a change to an initial quote will be accounted for in the balance of the payment due one week prior to the booking date.

  • the balance of your payment must be received a minimum of one week prior to your booking date or we reserve the right to cancel your booking.

  • any additional services not previously agreed upon before the wedding date (ie; a bridesmaid requests false lashes), will be billed to your credit card on the date of the wedding.

 

Bookings

  • All bookings including weddings require a non-refundable retainer payable on confirmation of your booking and a signed contract -  Wedding dates are not held or confirmed without a retainer  -  we book strictly on a first come, first serve basis

  • If the retainer is not received prior to the booking date, we reserve the sole right to cancel your booking

  • Selah Vie is to be the sole team / artists represented for the respective services contracted for.  For instance, if you hire our team for makeup, we are to be the only makeup artists for your wedding.  If you hire us for hair, the same goes.  You are able to hire someone else for the opposite discipline if you prefer, but for the services that we render, our team will be the only team responsible for that area.

               

Cancellation Terms

If you cancel your booking :

  • your retainer and any payments made to date are not refundable if you cancel your booking after cleared funds are received, before and including a booking date

 

If we are obliged to change your booking:

  • ​in the event of an emergency for an artist on your team, we will look to fill that position with another artist on the Selah Vie team.

  • if the head artist is unable to make it due to emergency, we will notify you immediately, and all pictures, notes and makeup charts will be passed onto the replacement artist

  • if a replacement makeup artist cannot be provided your deposit will be refunded in full.

 

Prices

We reserve the right to change any price or package offering at any time without prior notice. However, where a booking and price has already been agreed the booking will be honoured at that price.

Last Minute Bookings

We do accept last minute bookings subject to :

  • availability

  • payment in cleared funds of the TOTAL COST prior to the booking date (Interac email money transfer or credit card preferred)

 

Indemnity

The client agrees to hold harmless Selah Vie Luxury Hair and Makeup Design and all makeup and hair artists on the team, including estheticians, from any liability due to allergic reactions, injuries, losses, damage, costs, claims and actions that may occur to a client.
